Before you start

  • An active Pro subscription. Third-party AI subscriptions and API credits are separate.
  • A working internet connection for the service or download used in this tutorial.
  • An Anthropic API key and available API access or credit.

1. Get the correct kind of key — Use an Anthropic API key from the provider console. A Claude app subscription or Claude Code OAuth token is not the API key this form expects.

2. Enter the key in the secure field — Paste the key into Anthropic API Key. Do not paste keys into notebook cells or chat messages.

3. Refresh the model list — Tap Refresh Claude Models and select a model available to your API account.

4. Save and make it active — Save the configuration and choose Use This Provider. If a test reports Invalid key, replace the key and test again.

Check the result

Save the configuration and choose Use This Provider. If a test reports Invalid key, replace the key and test again.

If it does not work

Section titled “If it does not work”
  • If the provider is configured but not used, select Use This Provider and check the active badge.
  • For sign-in or key errors, repair the provider configuration before retrying a short request.
  • Provider choices can depend on your App Store region, subscription and the provider account.
